Belize City Mayor to Represent at 2024 Smart City Expo in Barcelona

Belize City Mayor Bernard Wagner will be representing his municipality at the 2024 Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, Spain in November.  His representation is at the invitation and expense of the Global Secretariat of the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy.  Love News understands that at this event, the mayor will have a chance to present a city project during its business matchmaking activities.  The Smart City Expo World Congress is the world’s most influential event on urban innovation, bringing together leaders from businesses, governments, and organizations to advance towards a more sustainable urban future.  Prior to the Smart City Expo, Mayor Wagner will also be traveling to Montreal, Canada for the Innovate4Cities 2024 Conference in September.  The Innovate4Cities 2024 Conference convenes leaders from academia, government, civil society, and industry to bridge the gap between city climate ambition and tangible action.
