Belize City Resident Out on Bail for Drug Trafficking

A Belize City man is out on bail after being accused of drug trafficking. Eighteen-year-old Lloyd Avila appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court, charged with a single count of possession of controlled drugs with the intent to supply to another in connection with seventy-five point five grams of marijuana. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of eight hundred dollars which he met. He is due back in court on October 23. Police reportedly found the marijuana in his apartment during a search on August 19.
