Belize City Resident Remanded for Aggravated Assault

Tonight, Belize City resident Steven Flowers is on remand at the Belize Central Prison after being accused of aggressing a woman with a knife. Flowers appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court charged with a single count of aggravated assault. He pleaded not guilty to the charge but was denied bail after his court records showed that he had unpaid fines for previous convictions. He was remanded until October 31. He is accused o pulling a knife on 35-year-old Jacqueline Gentle on October 10, and threatening to kill her.
