Belize City Resident Remanded to Prison for Bicycle Theft

Forty-year-old Belize City resident Darrell Gray was remanded to the Belize Central Prison today.  Gray had appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on a single count of theft, in connection with a stolen bicycle valued at four hundred dollars. He pleaded not guilty to the charge but the prosecution objected to bail on account of Gray not showing up to court for another matter against him. The Magistrate withheld the objection and remanded him until November 7. He is accused of stealing the bicycle on September 1.
