Belize City Shooting Victim Undergoes Surgery After Targeted Attack

A young man was shot in Belize City this morning, and is currently receiving treatment at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH).  Police were at the scene just after nine o’clock this morning at the corner of Vernon and Pine Streets where they found 27-year-old, Jahleel Goodger injured.  Reports say that Goodger was sitting on the stairs of a house, talking to two persons when the shooter emerged from back yard and fired one shot at him.  The injuries sustained are yet to be confirmed, but our newsroom understands that he had to undergo surgery.  This is not the first time that Goodger was targeted.  Back in February 2017, he was shot multiple times as he rode a bicycle through the Conch Shell Bay area in Belize City.
