Belize City Taxi Driver Charged With Sexually Abusing Minor

A Belize City taxi driver, 30-year-old Ashton Gill, of a St. Thomas Street address was today charged with Unlawful Sexual Intercourse on a minor. According to police, Gill sexually abused the child on two separate occasions, September 8 and 10, 2025. The child’s mother took her to Precinct Three of the Crimes Investigation Branch, where a statement was recorded. A medical examination certified the minor to be sexually abused. Owing to the closure of the Magistrate’s Court for judicial training, Gill remains in custody, pending his arraignment.
