Belize Coast Guard and BDF Set for Change of Command Ceremonies

Two major military change of command ceremonies are scheduled for Thursday with leadership transitions taking place in both the Belize Coast Guard and the Belize Defence Force.  First, the Belize Coast Guard will host its Change of Command Ceremony at 10:00 a.m. at the Belize Coast Guard Headquarters, formally marking the transfer of authority and responsibility between commanding officers as part of the organization’s long-standing military tradition.  Later that day, the Belize Defence Force will hold its own Change of Command Ceremony at 2:00 p.m., where Brigadier General Anthony Velasquez will be officially handed the reins of the BDF from outgoing Commander Brigadier General Azariel Loria.  Both ceremonies are expected to feature formal military protocols recognizing leadership, service, and continuity within Belize’s national security institutions.  Love News will have coverage of both events.
