Belize Defense Force Captain Charged with Wounding Fellow Soldier; Granted Bail

Belize Defense Force Captain, thirty-seven-year-old Erwin Rodriguez appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today, accused of hitting a fellow soldier in the face with a pint bottle.  Rodriguez appeared unrepresented in court charged with a single count of wounding, allegedly committed upon Hilberto Pech. He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of a thousand dollars which he met. He is due back in court on January 17, 2024. The incident alleged occurred at the Price Barracks.
