Belize Featured in UK Business Magazine for Sustainable Tourism and Economic Initiatives

Belize has been featured in a magazine out of the United Kingdom.  The publication, Business Focus, is a business magazine that produces articles centered primarily on economics of countries around the world.  In this particular feature, Belize has been given an 8-page spread where the Minister of Tourism, Anthony Mahler speaks on Belize’s natural and cultural diversity.  The article hails Belize as a unique and sustainable destination and it delves into initiatives that helped to rebound and grow the industry post-pandemic.  The publication also featured an interview with Prime Minister John Briceno, who has been dubbed the Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Investment and Blue Economy and Civil Aviation.  In the article, Briceno spoke on the country’s business potential and comparative advantages. Interviews were also carried out with a host of other government officials and company leaders including the Deputy Prime Minister, Cordel Hyde who also serves as the Minister of Natural Resources, Petroleum, and Mining.  In addition to elaborating on key government initiatives and pro-business environments, the publication also touches on the recent Belize Investment Summit, Belize’s sustainable use of natural resources, plans to transform the education sector, the country’s digital transformation efforts, and more.
