The Belize Government Lotteries Limited has issued a public notice regarding the misuse of its official logo in unauthorized advertisements promoting lottery sales through WhatsApp. According to the company, individuals have been circulating messages encouraging players to send their desired lottery numbers and the number of pieces they wish to purchase via the messaging platform. In exchange, players are being asked to provide proof of online payment, after which they receive a picture of the lottery ticket. The Belize Government Lotteries Limited has stated that this method of sale is not authorized, and they strongly disassociate themselves from any individuals offering such services. The company emphasizes that only official printed tickets are valid, and without one, the redemption of any prize winnings is not guaranteed.
