The Belize Hotel Association (BHA) is feeling the pinch of no movement Sunday. Last Sunday the Belizean population observed the first-ever no movement day apart of the government’s aim to curb the spread of COVID-19. The restriction unlike the other measures that were exempted for four tourist locations was implemented across the country. The President of the BHA, Alina Saldivar says that while the association supports GOB’s push to stem the spread of the infectious disease, the restriction of movement poses some challenged to hoteliers.
Saldivar also noted that the association hopes that the restrictions will not be extended for another period of time.
