Belize International Film Festival kicked off with Sprinter

Last night, the movie Sprinter kicked off the opening of the fourteen session of the Belize International Film Festival. It is an inspirational movie depicting a young Jamaican whose exceptional track and field ability was able to change his life; but not before multiple setbacks and challenges. Love news spoke with Suzette Zayden, the Director of the Belize International Film Festival, who said that the movie was filmed both in Jamaica and the USA.

The Belize International Film Festival has grown over the years with the assistance of foreign film producers such as Chris Pack.

Nigel Miguel, the Film Commissioner of Belize, said that the commission is working on making available a fund to assist young filmmakers in bringing their production to life.

The Belize International Film Festival will run from November 6 to 10.
