Earth Hour, it’s a worldwide initiative that encourages the public, businesses, and governments to take accountability for their ecological footprint and engage in dialogue that provides solutions to the globe’s environmental challenges. Here in Belize, it is observed every Saturday in the month of March from eight-thirty to nine-thirty at night. Nadia Bood, Senior Program Officer for the WWF Mesoamerica says the worldwide movement that is being held virtually this year is intended to put a spotlight on nature and the importance of conserving it.
