The Judicial Education Institute (JEI) of Belize’s Senior Courts, in collaboration with UNDP PACE Justice, will host a two-day training seminar on the case management of criminal cases. The seminar is scheduled for tomorrow and Friday in Belize City. The seminar will be led by two distinguished facilitators, namely, Justice Ronnie Boodoosingh of Trinidad and Tobago’s Court of Appeal and David Munoz, Registrar of the Supreme Court in Spain. They will be joined by several justices from Belize’s Senior Courts, including Madam Justice Antoinette Moore, Justice Francis Cumberbatch, Justice Nigel Pilgrim, and Justice Derick Sylvester. According to Chief Justice Louise Esther Blenman, the seminar is a testament to the JEI’s dedication to continuous professional development and its commitment to ensuring the highest standards of judicial service and enhancing the administration of justice in Belize. The training, sponsored by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) PACE Justice Project, and is a key part of the strengthening of the country’s legal and judicial system, particularly at the Magistrates’ Courts level.
