Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Technology has announced the launch of a, “BE MORE” campaign across the country. Minister Francis Fonseca made the plan public this past weekend as he delivered the keynote address at the official ceremony for the anniversary of the Battle of Saint George’s Caye. The campaign is built on the participation of every Belize in every district, to do more good things for each other, and for Belize.
Francis Fonesca, Minister of Education: “We are all called upon to do more and be more for Belize. In this regard, I am pleased to announce the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, and Technology’s “Be More” campaign. Government, political parties, civil society, private sector, churches, all have key roles to play in Belize’s development. But let us be clear none of these entities can fix and resolve the challenges facing our Belizean society and nation without an engaged citizenry that is willing and able to do more and be more for each other and for Belize. We must all be more for quality education. Be more for affordable, accessible, and affordable. quality health care. Be more for affordable housing. Be more for the environment. Be more for rural and sustainable economic development. Be more for justice and the rule of law. Be more for the poor, the elderly and our most vulnerable citizens. Be more for meaningful constitutional and legal reform.”
