Belize National Teachers Union holds election for new executive

Members of the Belize National Teachers’ Union gathered on the Muffles College compound in Orange Walk Town for their annual convention. The 2-day event will not only see the presentation of annual reports, but also includes the election of a new union executive. This election will see a new president taking over from Senator Elena Smith. Our news affiliate, Stephanie Acosta, was at the event today and spoke with Senator Smith on the convention’s itinerary.
