Belize PM Invites Mexico’s First Woman President-Elect to Strengthened Ties

Prime Minister John Briceno has extended an invitation to Mexico’s President-Elect, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.  The invitation accompanied a congratulatory message on her being the first woman President to be elected in Mexico, and by extension, North America.  In a social media post by Briceno, he noted the strong ties and friendship between Belize and Mexico which has deepened under the administration of President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.  He noted that his administration looks forward to working closer with her administration and thanked the Mexican Government for support in the supply of electricity via the CFE.  President-elect Sheinbaum has since replied to Briceno, pledging continued collaboration and support.
