Belize Police Department Offers Reward for Information on Attempted Murder Case

The Belize Police Department is offering a cash reward for information on a case of attempted murder. A one-thousand-dollar reward is being offered for anyone with information leading to the persons responsible for the shooting of Crystal Auto Rental employee 53-year-old Elmer Francisco. On Christmas Eve, two men on a motorcycle entered the compound at the rental company located on the Philip Goldson Highway near the Haulover Bridge and inquired about a vehicle. Thereafter one of the men pulled out a gun and shot Francisco. He was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was treated and later released. Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to report it by calling the Crime Stoppers Belize hotline at 922, or the nearest police station.
