The Belize Port Authority (BPA) is hosting a Poster Competition 2025 for high school students, inviting them to creatively express the theme “Our ocean Our obligation Our opportunity.” The competition is open to third and fourth form students and is a call to action for young Belizean nationals to engage with the importance of maritime stewardship. Submissions must be original, unpublished works that do not infringe on any copyright laws. Each school is permitted a maximum of three submissions. The rules state that entries must be submitted in English and that participants must be the sole author and creator of their work. All submissions will be showcased on the BPA’s Facebook page for a public voting period, which begins on September 18 and concludes at midday on September 24. The winners will be determined based on the results of this public vote. The BPA is offering attractive prizes for the top three posters. The first-place winner will receive a $500 cash prize, while the second-place winner will get a $300 gift certificate, and the third-place winner will be awarded a $150 gift certificate. All entries must be delivered by September 17, 2025, to the Belize Port Authority Headquarters at Mile 4, George Price Highway, Belize City. The first-place winner will be announced and prizes awarded at the World Maritime Day: Maritime Educational Expo on September 25
