Belize has taken a major step forward in its preparations for the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. Last week, representatives from BELTRAIDE attended an International Planning Meeting in Himeji, Japan, marking a significant milestone in the country’s journey toward the global event. The delegation, led by BELTRAIDE’s Executive Director Ishmael Quiroz, included Nikki Augustine, Manager of the Marketing and Communications Unit, and Jalen Avila, Acting Manager of the Invest Unit. Their participation underscores Belize’s commitment to showcasing the nation’s cultural and economic opportunities on the world stage. During the two-day meeting, the BELTRAIDE team engaged in critical discussions on pavilion development, operational logistics, and exhibition strategies. The goal: to ensure Belize’s presence at Expo 2025 captures the attention of a global audience. The Belize Pavilion will be a collaborative effort led by BELTRAIDE, the Belize Tourism Board, and the Blue Bonds Unit for Finance Permanence. It will highlight Belize’s vibrant culture, innovative industries, and unique investment opportunities, reinforcing the country’s commitment to positioning itself prominently on the international stage. As part of its Expo participation, Belize will host a “National Day” on August 3, 2025, in Osaka. This special day will feature representatives from the Government of Belize, private sector stakeholders, local businesses, and creatives from the country’s orange economy. Belize’s preparations for Expo 2025 reflect a united effort to showcase the nation’s potential and connect with the world in meaningful ways.
