Belize received 124,000 COVID Shots for Children

For the first time since the pandemic started more than two years ago, children as young as five years old can now get their COVID-19 vaccines. Parents have already begun taking students to various centers to get their first shots and today, Belize received another 124 thousand eight hundred doses of the Pfizer pediatric vaccine. The team lead for the EU’s technical support office, Xavier Canton-Lamousse spoke at today’s handing-over event.

CEOs Doctor Julio Sabido and Amalia Mai, for the Ministries of Health and Foreign Affairs respectively, also conveyed Belize’s gratitude for the vaccines.

This batch is a result of a partnership of the foreign ministry with the Republic of Slovakia.
