200: that’s the total number of new cases of COVID-19 reported in Belize tonight. This has taken the total number of active cases to more than fourteen hundred. The Ministry of Health and Wellness reports that in addition to the one thousand four hundred and nineteen cases, one more person has died bringing the death toll to three hundred eighty-three. Today also saw Belize District accounting for the largest chunk of new cases at one hundred thirteen. Eighty-five of those cases were in Belize City alone, eight were on San Pedro, seven in Ladyville, and five in Hattieville. Thirty more cases were in Cayo, two dozen in Orange Walk, and fifteen in Toledo. Ten were in Stann Creek and Corozal altogether. Thirty-nine people are hospitalized including ten in the ICU. Three hundred seventeen samples are currently under investigation.
