Marconi Leal, Area Representative, Belize Rural North: “A lot of major things had happened in my constituency Belize Rural North where we did a lot of road construction, massive road construction especially in the Crooked Tree area where we’re about to pave at least three point something miles of road which will be very beneficial to the Crooked Tree villagers. Also we did some work behind Crooked Tree in the Black Burn area. We also did over three miles in the Nago Bank area that’s behind Maskall for the farmers. We just recently completed the rehabilitation of the Bomba area that’s also in the Maskall area, the Bomba road that was upgraded significantly helping a lot of farmers also. In the line of education we have helped over four hundred students with school fees assistance, we have built a lot of bleachers all over the constituency, we have lit a lot of football fields so in sports for the youths we have done a lot of work in that area and there is a lot of miscellaneous things that we are doing you know helping the little small booths for officials and counting agents for Cricket, bathrooms, you know a lot of construction work has been done in the last year so I’m very happy about what we did in Belize Rural North in the last year and looking forward for this budget for the upcoming year. I believe not having a portfolio gives me the opportunity to spend a lot more time with my constituent. But my colleagues in the House have been very helpful.”
