Belize Showcases Tourism Sector at Central American Travel Market

Stakeholders in Belize’s tourism sector are representing the country this week at the Belize is at the Central American Travel Market (CATM). The event is being held from April 16 – 18 at the Hilton Hotel in El Salvador.  The Belize Tourism Board explained that the CATM is a regional tourism fair that promotes tourism in the Central American region by connecting tourism service providers with travel wholesalers and other tourism industry professionals from Europe and the United States invited by the Central American Tourism Promotion Agency (CATA) Board of Directors.  The BTB was joined by Belize Tourism Industry Association (BTIA), Blu Zen Resort, Cahal Pech Village Resort, El Ben Cabanas, Itz’ana Resort, Midas Resort, Ramada by Wyndham Princess, and Splash Dive Center. The move forms a part of the Ministry of Tourism’s ongoing push to increase promotion for Belize within the region.
