Belize Tourism Board Launches Art Competition for World Tourism Day

The Belize Tourism Board is engaging Belize’s artistic community for a competition centered on the upcoming celebration of World Tourism Day 2023. The Belize Tourism Through Art competition launched this week and is challenging artists ages sixteen years and older, to use various means to capture the theme “Tourism and Green Investments” while showcasing Belizean culture and landscape. Phylicia Pelayo, Marketing/Communications Associate with the BTB, said that, apart from the five-thousand-dollar cash prize for the winner, there will also be an art exhibit launched for those who were shortlisted, to give their work exposure.

The winner will be announced on September 27, which coincides with World Tourism Day. The art exhibit will also be launched at the Bliss Center for Performing Arts that day and will run for one month.
