Belize Volleyball Association Representative Attends NORCECA Continental Referee Course in Puerto Rico

The Belize Volleyball Association has a referee in Puerto Rico this week, participating in a continental referee course. Leon Gentle is representing the association and the country at the course, which is being offered by the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA). Khalid Encalada, head of referees for the association says that Gentle began his refereeing journey back in 2013 and is poised to become one of a select few Belizeans who are continental referees.

Encalada says that Gentle achieving the rank will greatly improve the capacity of the association and put Belize ahead of many countries in the region with respect to qualified referees.

The course began on January 19 and concludes today
