Belize Women’s Volleyball Team Prepares for Central American Championship

Belize’s National Women’s Volleyball team is in Managua, Nicaragua this week for the 22nd annual Women’s Central American Championship. A total of 12 players arrived in Nicaragua yesterday and are going through their preparations for the official start of the tournament tomorrow. President of the Belize Volleyball Association Allan Sharp told Love News that team Belize is short some of its players who are in the United States for peak volleyball season, but he is confident in the abilities of those at the tournament. Belize’s first match will be against the regional volleyball champions, Costa Rica. That team arrived in Managua yesterday, flying straight from Canada, where they were competing in the continental volleyball championships.

Sharp noted that Belize hosted the women’s volleyball championships back in 2018.
