Arthur Saldivar, Attorney: “Mr Carrillo basically gave a caution statement or an admission statement to the crown, to the police and that admission was accepted as admissible by the court but within it there contained elements of defense of self defense. So the crown had the obligation to discharge that portion of it by bringing evidence to show that it was not self defense; they failed to do so and during the course of the trial it was shown where the accused person.”

It was observed that the deceased was stabbed multiple times, like thirteen times? Is that what was said ?

Arthur Saldivar, Attorney: “Well there was a struggle and in the course of a struggle one will do whatever one feels necessary to do in the effort of protecting his life. You cannot way to a nicety what a person will do when their life is in danger and when they believe that they have to fight for that life; we all know this don’t we?”

Harry Arzu, Stann Creek Correspondent: On the other hand due to the overwhelming evidence against Valley Community resident Saul Campos who was charged for the murder of Lewis Sierra that occurred on September 28 2017 in the said area was found guilty in a trial without jury.
