A Belizean man residing in the United States is facing an additional ten years in prison for illegally entering the US after being deported twice.  37-year-old Akeem Garnett was first deported from the United States in September 2016 and again in November 16, 2017.  He was found again living in Los Angeles in April 2019 and is now facing prison time on a federal charge of illegally entering the United States.  Garnett is no stranger to the US prison system as he has faced multiple charges of burglary in the State of California.  In July 2019, Garnett was convicted of causing corporal injury on his spouse and is currently serving time at the North Kern State Prison in Delano.  His case for illegally re-entering the US is still pending before the US courts and could result in an additional ten years in prison.
