Belizean in the US pleads guilty to drug offences

Belizean forty eight year old Fiorman Erick Gillett was busted trafficking meth in the United States of America. He pled guilty to trafficking two pounds of crystal methamphetamine. Gillett was caught after a DEA agent went under cover. According to reports, law enforcements in the US were monitoring him since February 2017. An online news article explains that Gillett’s accomplice mistakenly switched the shipping and receiving addresses in March on a FedEx package intended for Norfolk. That mistake led to the package being prevented from leaving Houston and ultimately led to its seizure by police. Gillett, who illegally entered the United States years ago, pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. He is set to be sentenced later this year in U.S. District Court in Norfolk. Law enforcement was already on to Gillett, who went by the nickname “B,” before the FedEx mix-up.
