Belizeans excel at Eagle Park Taekwondo Championships in Mexico

Thirteen Belizeans returned home from Mexico with a record of excellence after competing in the Eagle Park Taekwondo Championships held on Saturday.  Of the 13 participants, three of them placed first in different categories, namely, Amphree Swasey, Jamir Ayala and Leah St. Clair.   The other ten participants all placed second in various divisions; those Belizeans are Nephetia Lopez, Myah Grant, Mycah Grant, Coyichi Lam, Manon Mazella, Joy Bowen, Lucas Martinez, Gordon Feinstein, Bention Feinstein and Nicholas Hyde.  The students who participated are from the House of Shotokan on Princess Margaret Drive in Belize City.  The event took place in Chetumal, Quintana Roo at the Parque del Queso.  Other competitors came from San Salvador, various parts of Mexico including Escarseja, Yucatan and Xul-Ha.
