Belize’s Archbishop Joins 400th Anniversary Celebrations in Bermuda

Archbishop Philip Wright is in Bermuda to celebrate the 400th anniversary of St Mary’s Anglican Church.  Belize’s Bishop, the Most Reverend Wright, was elected Archbishop and primate of the Church of the Province of the West Indies last year.  He arrived on the island with his wife, Carla Suite Wright, and attended the rededication service at the Warwick Church earlier today.  The Archbishop told local reporters in Bermuda that he has visited just about every parish and Anglican church on the island since his arrival.  He has also met with Premier David Burt and Governor Andrew Murdoch.  Looking ahead to the celebrations, the Archbishop said that the occasion is not just about remembering the past, it’s about looking forward to the future.
