Belize’s Judiciary is working to reduce the huge backlog of court cases

The US Government through its Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) is assisting Belize in strengthening its criminal justice system. The “Backlog Reduction Program” seeks to strengthen the Judiciary’s apparatus to lessen the current backlog of cases. Today, a step toward that goal was made at the Supreme Court in Belize City. Vejea Alvarez was there and has the story.
