The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) is hosting an international friendly game between a female team from Tennessee who will be challenging Belize’s National A Female team. Yashmin Juan, the communications and marketing Director for the FFB says it will be an exciting game and portions of the ticket sales will be donated to a worthy charity.
Yashmin Jaun Communications & Marketing Director FFB: “Saturday night at 8:30 we have a visiting team from Tennessee and they actually arrived in Belize today for an international friendly game against our national female team. Through FIFA the Federation is required to do a certain amount of international friendly games and so this is one of them that we are having here at home. Basically the coach of the team has visited Belize before and the request was put out there and he accepted the request you know because he loves Belize and he brought the team to come and play against our national women’s A team. This game what we are doing is it is at Saturday 8:30 at Isidoro Beaton Stadium and for this game what we are doing is that we are actually giving one dollar of every ticket sold which is just $8 to the Cancer Society. This year we are starting to partner with different organizations and this is one of the initiatives that we are doing so this game $1 from every ticket sold is going to the Cancer society.”
The game will take place at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan at 8:30 pm on Saturday night.
