Belmopan Firefighters Certified in Emergency Medical Response: Strengthening Emergency Services

Twenty-one fire fighters from the Belmopan Fire Department are now certified in emergency medical response. This weekend, the Belmopan Emergency Service and the Belmopan Fire Department held their 7th graduation ceremony for the newly certified Emergency Medical Responders. Love News was there and spoke to the instructor of the program, Welin Williams.

In related news, on Friday the United States Deputy Assistance Secretary Kerri Hannan visited the Emergency Call Center at the Belmopan Fire Station, established with the support of a CARSI-ESF grant to Belize Heroes. Hannan spoke with the project team and Fire Chief Colin Gillett to learn how the National Fire Service of Belize is working to enhance emergency medical service delivery in the Cayo district.
