Belmopan Football Association Issues Penalties for On-Field Brawl: Championship Finals Revised

The Belmopan Football Association has issued stiff penalties against those involved in the brawl on the pitch at the Isidoro Beaton Football Stadium. According to the BFA, they reviewed the footage of the brawl, and after factoring in the disciplinary code of the Football Federation of Belize, they have made several decisions. Among them is the expulsion of the Blackman Eddy Bulldogs and the Valley Juniors Football Club from the current tournament. Additionally, each club is being fined one thousand dollars, and selected players and officials are being suspended for periods ranging from (1) year to (5) years based on the severity of their respective offences. Additionally, fines have been issued to each of the respective individuals ranging from $200.00 to $500.00. All suspended individuals are banned with immediate effect from entering any stadium where BFA-sanctioned matches are played for the duration of their suspension. As a result of this decision, the BFA hereby announces that the Championship Finals will now be contested between Maya Mopan FC and Revolution FC. The release concludes, saying, that these actions underline the BFA’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of sportsmanship and fair play in the beloved sport.
