Belmopan Mayor attends Earth Day Summit in the United States and participates in the first-ever Cities of the Americas Summit in Denver.

Belmopan’s Mayor, Sheran Palacio is in the United States for an Earth Day Summit.  She departed the country on Friday, enroute to Miami where she attended the summit on Saturday at the Miami University, and partook in a panel discussion with Mayor Daniela Levine Cava of Miami Dade.  After the summit, Mayor Palacio traveled to Denver, Colorado where she is attending the first-ever Cities of the Americas Summit.  The summit is geared at promoting regional cooperation, and will see several sub-national leaders from across the entire Western Hemisphere with diverse and inclusive representatives of government, civil society, business, academia, youth, culture and the arts, indigenous and underrepresented groups. She is expected to participate in several roundtable sessions and discussions. Mayor Palacio is expected back home on April 29
