Belmopan Mayor calls out Minister Dolores Balderamos Garcia
Mayor Sheran Palacio – she is a one-term mayor for Belmopan who has become known for her multiple tantrums on social media. OF recent, those tantrums have been directed to her very own political colleagues under the People’s United Party. Her most recent post has called out Minister Dolores Balderamos-Garcia as being, ‘outright disrespectful’ towards her. Palacio goes, saying, quote, “Whether you people like it or not I am still the official sitting Mayor” End of quote. Palacio’s statements has to do with the recent groundbreaking ceremony for the Dorothy Menzies Children’s Home in Belmopan, for which she was not invited.
Sheran “Sharon” Palacio, Mayor of Belmopan City: “Very disrespectful. Very disrespectful. I think that an event like that meaningful and I know about what was going to happen, they were going to move to the City of Belmopan. I even supported a Gala in honor of that project and what was shocking and disappointing I saw the information when I was in Belize City attending the Ahmadiyya they had a women’s conference and I went there because the topic is love for all hatred for none and bam in the morning I saw this thing I said I really wanted to stay but I’ve learned that where there is injustice you must cease to protest so I had to say something and I hope Dolores Balderamos got the message along with all of them who were there including Oscar Mira all of them because when I saw the aspiring mayor I said what ? I don’t use obscene language but I really wanted to curse because it’s highly disrespectful. Even if I’m not the chosen candidate, even if I’m not the person they’re running behind the least they could have done was to do the right thing and whatever they continue doing I am gonna hammer them party or no party.”
Her social media post also noted, quote, “Where there is disrespect and injustice SharPal will not cease to protest.” End of quote. Mayor Palacio will demit office in early March.
