A resident of Belmopan was busted with a large stash of contraband items on Tuesday. Police officers of the Benque Viejo Police Formation stopped and searched a vehicle that had left the Free Zone at the Western Border shortly before nine o’clock in the night. The vehicle was driven by 31-year-old Ryan Lopez, a car dealer from Belmopan who was busted with a t-shirt that said Making Role Models Since 1972. Inside the vehicle, police found Lopez smuggling six cases of beer, six bottles of assorted rum, and thirty-three cartons of assorted cigarettes. The officers handed the cases, Lopez and his Model T-Shirt to Customs Department Officials.
