A Belmopan woman is currently lost in Southern Belize. Sandra Garcia was found by the police officers and they are asking for the public’s assistance in finding her family. Toledo Correspondent Paul Mahung has the story.
Paul Mahung, Toledo Correspondent: Police in Punta are seeking assistance to locate family members and the safe return of an adult female to her family. Deputy Commander Toledo Police Formation Inspector Wilfredo Ferrufino spoke to Love News.
Wilfredo Ferrufino, Deputy Commander, Toledo Police Formation: “Well this morning we received information that there was a female walking on the Southern Highway, this would be somewhere in the vicinity of Forrest Home, police officers went out to the location and found a woman, a female and so far she has given her name as Sandra Garcia, she has given her address as Las Flores in Belmopan. She has indicated that she had some friends or associates here, we had tried to take her to give us directions to where these persons live however she is not able to give those directions so we are of the opinion that she does not know where she is and so we are seeking the public’s help in trying to identify who this female is who this person is so that we can safely return her to where she is originally from.”
Paul Mahung, Toledo Correspondent: The named Sandra Garcia as given to police by the adult female is slim built, brown in complexion, speaks fluent Spanish and is about five feet in height with her age unknown so far. Family members, friends or any member of the public who knows Sandra Garcia can contact Punta Gorda police at phone number 702-2022 or the nearest police station or call 9-1-1 as they need to connect Garcia with her family and her safe return home is of foremost urgency.
