Across the country, the Belize National Teachers Union flexed its muscles this morning to show their absolute disagreement with the government’s proposed ten percent salary cut for three years and continued increment freeze. The BNTU along with the Public Service Union and the Association of Public Service Senior Managers is strongly against the pay cut and continued increment freeze. The joint unions believe that there are other ways that the Briceno can save money without cutting public servants salary. The Joint Union met last night and have forwarded their proposals to the government.
