BNTU ON REPORT.00_00_07_16.Still001

BNTU President satisfied with Senate Report

The one hundred and sixty page Senate Report is out and was tabled in last week’s Senate meeting. The report is based on the findings of the Special Select Senate Committee that was formed to investigate wrongdoings at the Immigration and Nationality Departments.  Those wrongdoings were revealed in the Auditor General’s report for the period 2012/2013. Part of the inquiry committee was the Union Senator, Elena Smith who informed Love News that all senators are satisfied with the final report and that the onus is now on the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Cheryl Lyn Vidal to determine if anyone will be held culpable and charged.
