BPO Association Conducts Simulation Exercise in Toledo District: Minister Requena Supports Job Creation

The Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Association was in the Toledo District holding a simulation exercise with students. The simulation took place at the Toledo Community College (TCC) Auditorium and saw the participation of Julian Cho Technical High School, Toledo Community College, and the University of Belize. The exercise saw students participating in practical interviews to test their aptitudes for the BPO industry. The event was being supported by the Government of Belize through the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Rural Development. Special guest speaker at the exercise was Minister of Labour, Local Government and Rural Development Oscar Requena, who said that the simulation presents an opportunity for the upliftment of the Toledo district through job creation.

Requena also stressed that the government is placing greater emphasis on public and private sector partnerships to support economic growth.
