Fifty seven acres of land along mile 14 on the George Price Highway has been sub-divided into two hundred and seventeen plots of measurements 80 by 100. The land was acquired from the Ministry of Natural Resources by the Belize City Council as part of the council’s Employee Land Program which was initiated last year. Employees of the city council who have been working from more than two years will benefit from this initiative. Mayor Darrell Bradley explains.
Mayor Bradley says that the issuing of land titles to employees is a form of recognition and honor for their service.
Employees participated in a random number draw today which indicated the location of their parcel of land in the area. The land title and registration comes free of cost.
