We spoke with Mayor Darrel Bradley about statements he made this week, supporting the Senate Inquiry into the Audit reports on the immigration and Nationality Department. The Audit reports have fingered more than a dozen Ministers for issuing questionable recommendations for individuals to get Belizean passports. Bradley says he is standing by his statements.
Bradley does not question the credibility of the Audit Reports and stated that some of the documents presented are a matter for concern.
While his statements might not go over well with some of his colleagues, Bradley said it is important that Government works for the people.
Mayor Bradley stated that the issue of corruption in the Audit Reports is detracting from programs, initiatives and regulations that are more important to the community.
