The People’s United Party will be holding their national convention on Sunday in Belmopan. One of the men vying for leadership of the party is Orange Walk Central’s area representative, John Briceno. Earlier today we caught up with Briceno to get his views heading into Sunday’s convention.
We asked Briceno what are some of the concerns raised by the delegates he has been in touch with.
A group headed by Glen Tillett made an attempt to hold a debate among the three men vying for the leadership however their attempt was unsuccessful. Briceno said he had indicated that the date would not have been suitable. He said while the idea of adebate was good, the time was not.
Vying for the leadership of the People’s United Party along with Briceno are present party leader, Francis Fonseca and Lake Independence area representative, Cordel Hyde.
