British Permanent Under-secretary of State (PUS), Simon McDonald will be visiting Belize on August 30. During his stay he will be seeing the Governor General, Sir Colville Young, and having a meeting with the Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Leader of the Opposition and other Organizations. He will also be visiting the Chiquibul National Park to see some of the Projects, carried out by Friends for Conservation and Development that the UK has funded. The PUS will also participate in a scientific survey and outreach beach clean that is being funded by the UK funded Commonwealth Litter Programme. The visit also provides an opportunity to discuss international issues, such as illegal trade, regional stability and BREXIT. McDonald will depart from Belize on September one where he will continue his regional visit to other countries, such as Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala.
