British National in Belize Convicted for Drug Offenses Again

Today, a retired British National living in Belize picked up his second conviction for drug offenses in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court. Sixty-three-year-old Philip A. Kewley appeared in court today, charged with a single count of possession of controlled drugs in relation to 56 grams of marijuana found in his home during a police search. The Ladyville resident, on the advice of his attorney, pleaded guilty to the offense and fined two thousand dollars. He must pay his fine by May 5, 2024, or he faces a year in jail. Just two weeks ago Kewley was fined three thousand dollars for being in possession of just under three pounds of marijuana.
