BTB launches Cruise App

Tourism stakeholders will now have access to up to date information on the cruise ship industry in Belize. The Belize Tourism Board developed a mobile application it calls BTB Cruise App which was launched this morning. Hipolito Novelo reports.

You can then go into the calendar view and the calendar view will show a regular calendar on your phone and it will highlight the day in yellow and then below it, you will be able to see the cruise calls that are coming in. You can then go to a different day or you can look at it from a month view or a year view.

Noriko Gamero – Marketing Director

“This will be readily available as a total or it can then be subdivided by port so you can click on SFTV or you can click on Harvest Caye and you will be able to see the number of passengers. It is also separated by calls, by estimated passengers and then actual passengers will be updated monthly. This will allow all stakeholders to have real-time information of an additional call made to a port or a cancellation due to weather.”

The app was developed in collaboration with IdeaLab Studios.
