In related news on revenues, the Belize Telemedia Limited has posted, what it terms, its best financial performance in more than 15 years.  At its 19th Annual General Meeting, the company reported total revenues of just under 155 million dollars for the 2024–2025 fiscal year. Net profit after tax came in at 28.1 million dollars, that’s a 13 percent increase over the previous year. Earnings per share rose to 53 cents, and shareholders will receive dividends totaling 12.9 million dollars.  Since 2021, BTL has invested more than 17 million dollars in expanding the country’s digital infrastructure, including 33 new mobile sites, upgrades to 43 existing sites, and fiber-to-the-home services extended to 27 communities. Today, BTL operates 180 mobile sites and reports fiber coverage to more than 90 percent of Belizean households.  Chairman of the Board, Markhelm Lizarraga, said these investments reflect BTL’s central role in shaping digital connectivity in Belize.
